Our Trip to Tahoe

Josh had never been to Lake Tahoe, so we decided to go for a quick overnight trip last week. It was absolutely beautiful, and Will slept reasonably well in the hotel room (though I admit we brought the swing - that got some interesting looks from the bell boys...).
We rode the Heavenly gondola to the top of the mountain, and it was gorgeous.

Lounging with Daddy

Here are my boys watching TV together. I would love to say it's something educational, but in reality, it's probably golf (which is ok too as long as Will is already absorbing proper swing technique).

Sister Mary William

Some very cute post-bath pictures...

Holy Head Control!

Look at Will! No longer does he lie on his face and whimper during Tummy Time! Nope, he is totally holding his head up. Sorry about the drooly shots...

Two Month Appointment

Will had his two-month pediatrician appointment today. We are proud to announce he is 13 pounds, 3 ounces and 24 inches long, both of which are in the 90th percentile! The doctor said, "Well, we know he's eating well!" but said it's great that he's so big because a little extra chub is good for his brain.

He got his first vaccinations. He screamed, Mommy cried, and Daddy was the hero, comforting everyone. He seems totally fine now - he was in his swing playing with his blanket and eventually pulled it up over his face and went to sleep. Silly man. :)

Tribute to Aunt Nanners

Here is Will in a onesie that was a gift from his Aunt Anna (Mommy's sister). Anyone who knows Anna knows how much this reflects her personality.
And anyone who knows Will knows how appropriate this is.

Delia!

Will also got to meet Delia. Delia was Josh's nanny many, many (many many - sorry JP!) years ago. She's the one who predicted Will's gender last Thanksgiving, and she was right!

Will started to fuss during our visit, and she calmed him right down. Delia is magical. We're trying to convince her that Vallejo is much nicer than Pasadena, but I think we're out of luck on that one.

Will and the "Fighting Chair"

Will got to try out John's little baby seat, or the "fighting chair" as they called it. He's a little too small for it (and he needs more head control) but he still chilled out and seemed to like it. I swear he asked for a beer and the TV remote.

Will and John Ellis Crane

One of the highlights of the weekend was getting to meet Will's cousin John, who is five weeks older than Will. The two babies were so funny playing on the blanket - at one point they locked arms!
We're pretty sure these two boys are going to cause all kinds of trouble together in the future. We'll probably remember these days of relative immobility with great fondness.

Four Generations

Will got to meet his Great Grandmother this weekend. We loved the chance to take photos of four generations of the Weitzul/Price family.

Will's First Plane Ride!

We took a last-minute trip to LA last weekend to see Gramma Patti, Grampa Edson, and Will's extended family including his Great Grandmother!
Will was great on the plane, and it was a great practice run for our upcoming 5-hour flight to Canada.
Grampa Edson particularly appreciated Will's Cowboy Jammies (a gift from his real cowboy "grandparents" Jan and Bill in Colorado!).

Will's First Endorsement Contract

Since that Sam Woods baby turned out to not be so cute, Nike called and signed Will to his first endorsement deal. Here is Will in head-to-toe Nike. Unfortunately, he was already acting like an overpaid diva at this photo shoot - these photos were taken right after he hurled his cell phone at his assistant for not providing a bowl of green-only M&Ms. Thank heavens for the binky.

Ducky Jammies

I had to take a couple of pictures of Will in his ducky jammies because he's about to grow out of them. So cute! Is it me, or is his hair looking really red?

Week 8

Bath time and Mommy time! Will is starting to actually like his bath, which is a good thing because without it he's one stinky baby.

Week 7 - BIG BABY!

Will is starting to, um, fill out... I keep telling him this is the only time in his life when it will be acceptable to have a belly like this. He's definitely a Buddha baby, but so cute.

He's been wanting to play all the time lately, even at 4 a.m. He's also grabbing things and now trying to pull them into his mouth. We went to Copia on Saturday and when he got fussy, he pulled his blankie up to his mouth and snuggled with it. He's also grabbing the toys on his bouncy seat and pulling them towards his face.

The photos above are from yesterday - Will is 7 1/2 weeks old. The blue onesie and red socks were his Fourth of July outfit. So patriotic! He had a cute onesie with stars on it but we didn't even make it off the changing table before that one had to hit the laundry...

Another Visit from Grandma Patti

We went into San Francisco and had lunch with Grandma Patti last Friday at Zuni Cafe. Will was great - he spent most of the time just hanging out and watching everyone. It was very cute to see Grandma Patti and Great Aunt Karen fighting over who got to hold him.

Will also got to meet his cousin Catherine. He loved her - he stared and stared at her. Josh and I can't wait until she is old enough to babysit - soon!
