We wore him out. I took these pictures in part because he's so cute when he's sleeping, but also to show the head of curls he acquired in the Hawaii humidity. Daddy is threatening to take him for a buzz cut, but I'm threatening divorce if he does. :)

Will Plays in the Sand

Will also loved playing in the sand. The first ones with the darker sand are from the Kona Village beach, and the lighter sand ones were at the Fairmont.

Will Swims in the Ocean

Will loved swimming, both in the pool and in the ocean. He was a little nervous at first and clung to Daddy for dear life, but loosened up in about a minute. He's our little fishie.

Hotel Cribs...

...can look a little bit like jail sometimes. But Will wore himself out during the day and slept like a champ.

Aloha!!

Mommy is changing jobs! This gave us the opportunity to take our first family vacation together. We were able to book a great last-minute trip to the Big Island in Hawaii.

It was fabulous. We spent four nights at the Kona Village Resort, then three nights at the Fairmont Orchid. Kona Village is one of our favorite places on Earth - Josh and I went there for our honeymoon, and while our experience this time was a little bit different due to traveling with a very active, busy, curious and did I say active? toddler, we still loved it. It's a special place.

Here are some pictures from the Luau they have on Friday evenings. We missed the show due to a pretty spectacular meltdown, but we still had fun.

Zonked Out

I haven't taken many pictures of Will asleep, in large part because I'm desperately afraid of waking him up. In this case, we were getting ready to go out and put him in his crib for a second while we finished loading the car. Within seconds, he was out, wearing his big-boy shoes and all.

Will loves to Vacuum

One of Will's favorite things is the vacuum. He loves to follow Daddy around all over the house, holding one of the brush attachments, and letting out little screams of joy.

We're hoping his enthusiasm doesn't wane before he can actually do the vacuuming himself.

Will and the Dinosaur Ball Pit

Will's Aunt Betsy gave him a dinosaur ball pit for his birthday. He loves it, but mom isn't so sure. 60 balls? Really?
