Professional Pictures

One of my old clients is a professional photographer who now owns a winery. He offered to take our picture in his "studio," which is a 100-year-old barn with a big piece of canvas, an old chair and only natural light coming in through the door. The dogs were running in and out of the photos, which was perfect - so us. I love these photos.

3-D Ultrasound

We decided to do a 3-D ultrasound - I'm getting a little impatient to see what this little guy looks like!

It was a fun experience, but the little man was really not cooperative. The ultrasound technician even said we have a troublemaker on our hands.

He was positioned bottom-down, with his hands AND HIS FEET over his head. Essentially, a perfect pike position. At one point it looked like he was staring at his knee, and at another, it looked like he was sticking his toes in his eye (see above).

I know these photos are strange and somewhat difficult to see, but here are the explanations:

1) This is the best face-on shot we got. He definitely has Josh's mouth, and is that a dimple in his left cheek? Please note hands and feet above head. I have no idea how he is doing that.
2) Big yawn... his mouth is wide open!
3) Here's the one where it looks like he's poking his eye with his toe. Ouch.
4) Little foot!
5) Scratching his head - is he a thinker? Or just frustrated with his parents already?
We're going back in two weeks to see if we can get any better pictures. We tried everything to get him to move his hands and/or feet - movement, water, sugar, poking him... nothing worked. And as soon as we left the office, he gave me some BIG kicks that indicated he'd moved at least his feet. Trouble already, I'm telling you...

29 Week Belly

Here are some 29-Week belly pics - I finally got brave and am showing the actual tummy. That will stop the moment I get even a hint of a stretch mark.
Maybe I should stop taking these after dinner.

29 Weeks - This about says it...

28 Weeks!

We had our 28-week appointment today. A big milestone - I go to appointments every TWO weeks now! Holy cow!

I passed my gestastional diabetes test with flying colors, am measuring correctly, have normal bloodwork, and have gained a few more pounds (the scale read a number this morning that I've never seen before - that was a little hard to stomach. I really should just stop looking).

I also had to get a shot. :( I'm RH negative, so I had to get a shot of antibodies to make sure I don't have an immune reaction against my baby if he is positive. It was owie (what a wuss I am), but I got a SpongeBob bandaid. :)

I can't believe how fast this is going! I'm not ready!! We did go to parenting classes this weekend, so at least I feel a little better prepared.

Is it wrong that I am jealous that Josh swaddles better than I do? :)
