Will's First "Solid" Food
We finally broke down and gave Will some rice cereal this week (he's 19 weeks old). He's been making chewing motions, showing great interest in our food, and most importantly, still getting up at least twice a night to eat. He's a hungry guy!
Here is Will eating rice cereal for the first time. He wasn't so sure what to think at first but he seemed to dig it.
The second day he cried and cried in between spoonfuls. We couldn't figure it out - was he uncomfortable? Was the spoon not right? Maybe the cereal was hurting his tummy? Finally it dawned on us - we weren't feeding him fast enough. Once we picked up the pace, he happily snarfed down the whole bowl.
We've created a monster. I hope we don't end up with the Staypuff Marshmallow Baby.
Oh and yes, he still got up twice to eat last night. :(

4-Month Stats
Will had his four-month doctor's appointment today. He was a rock star, even with having to get four shots (and Josh said the needles were BIG - I couldn't look...).
Will weighs 17.8 pounds, which is in the 95th percentile. He is 23.75 inches long, which is about the 85th percentile. His head remains huge - 17.5 inches. He is a big boy!
We get to think about starting him on rice cereal sometime in the next month or so. Because he has very rashy tendencies, we'll probably wait a little while longer and then go very slowly.
Here is Will in a very cute fuzzy outfit - we really need to dress him up more!

Baby Steps...
It's been a while since we've posted, but Mommy is back to work!
The big news is that Will is sleeping in his bassinet. Finally. It took a couple of rough nights, but now he sleeps very well in it. He still occasionally naps in his swing, but he's almost too big for it anymore!
Now we just need to get him into his crib, but Mommy and Daddy (ok, just Mommy..) aren't quite ready to not have him in our room. We'd miss him too much.
